How to Get Started
The CMA program lets you proceed at your own pace. You can earn a CMA in just six months or over a three year span. Busy professionals will find the CMA program to be time-efficient and cost-effective.
Requirements include:

Membership in IMA®. If you are not already a member, Join IMA now.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or an equivalent degree as determined by an independent evaluation agency. Please reference the Education Qualification Section of the CMA Handbook.

Two continuous years of professional experience in management accounting or financial management. Please reference the Experience Qualification Section of the CMA Handbook.
Let us help you succeed on the CMA exam. Our instructor-led CMA exam preparation course utilizes the IMA’s CMA Learning System (CMALS) as the centerpiece. We have been a partner with the IMA since 2009 and have offered our courses to several candidates in various locations around the country. Our comprehensive courses are delivered via virtual classrooms and combine printed materials with online components (such as practice tests) under the direction of an experienced instructor. For corporate clients with ten or more candidates, we will come to your location and offer our review course on-site.

Please note that candidates for the CMA exam may sit for Parts 1 and 2 in any order.
To become certified, a candidate must pass both parts of the CMA exam, be a member of IMA®, hold a bachelor’s degree and have two years of professional work experience in management accounting and/or financial management.
Course Schedule
Our review courses are scheduled to align with the testing windows during which a candidate can sit for an exam at Prometric Testing Centers. CMA exam parts can be taken at Prometric Testing Centers during the following months:
January and February
May and June
September and October
CMA part 1 is offered on Saturdays 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm eastern standard time over a 10 week period allowing for 40 hours of instructional class time. CMA part 2 is offered on Tuesdays from 6.00 pm to 9.30 pm and on Saturdays 9:00 am to 12 pm eastern standard time for 12 weeks allowing for 36 hours of class time.
